Dr. Mohammad Gerogan (kerowgan) was born in Tehran in 1943. After completing primary and secondary school, he was sent to Germany in 1964 to study medicine. He received his doctorate in 1976 and was recognized as a specialist in laboratory medicine.
In 1995 he graduated in the field of blood transfusion and immune hematology and worked until 2008 as a senior physician and for laboratory science and blood transfusion medicine at the universities of Heidelberg and Mannheim in Germany.
He is currently working in the Quality Assurance Department at the Pathobiology Laboratory Center in Tehran.
Dr.Gerogan's relationship to art corresponds to the close relationship between art and medicine. One can say that both the doctor and the artist both deal with human existence and shortcomings. So it is not surprising that he became familiar with clay while studying medicine. The result is a world in which human being plays the main role, human being with all his joys, sorrows and desires.
Dr. Gerogan, or what he calls "potter", has learned to work with clay and then stone, brass and bronze, and has exhibited his work in Germany more than 10 times. His first collection of poems and short stories was published in 1398 and is entitled: very sad when you are not there.
